Hey guys, I got the final achievement on Steam last month and I just wanted to drop a line or two (maybe a bit more!) about the gorgeous game you made! A friend of mine e-mailed me a link to the trailer and I was so impressed that I bought
Cogs without even trying the demo first. I've always been particulary fond of puzzles and "large masses of cranking gears, billowing pipes, rotating wheels, and other miscellaneous mechanical widgets all working in tandem towards some ultimately obscure goal" (as a reviewer brilliantly said; I wonder if you have ever watched
The Castle of Cagliostro?), I love the steampunk style and I believe that all the effort and hard work you put into making your game visually stunning really paid off:
Cogs isn't just great to play, but great to watch as well!
The high level of difficulty implies you truly weren't trying to squeeze all the customers you could. Somehow I fear your next title will be much easier and forgiving because of some criticism you got, so I think I'll buy another 2-3 copies for my friends and coworkers as an encouragement

I really liked all of the sound effects (especially in your
amazing 3D menus!) and I have just a couple of minor complaints: 1) the volume of the sounds that mark the time and move limits seems a bit too high to me because after a while they got on my nerves! 2) The music theme sounds nice at first, but I just had to disable it after a couple of hours. Apart from that, all the money you put in the audio department was very well spent!
Finally, I would like to quote a reviewer about what you could improve: "I would have loved a mode where I got to make my own puzzles, the game seems perfect for that, just give me all the little pieces, let me figure out a system and then re-jig all the boxes! This could have led to online sharing, and something that the community could have gotten behind, but maybe if this title sees enough success we'll see a feature like this in a later instalment." Well, I would add that for such a low price you can't expect a fully-fledged editor and kickass online sharing features, but it is worth mentioning nonetheless

I would have loved to work on the Italian localization of this title (I work as a project manager for a prominent game localization company here in Italy)... and I must admit I would have done it for free! I hope you'll be rewarded with plenty of money for
Cogs, but if you ever happen to be low on budget just give your fan base a chance: some of us are skilled professionals!

Best of luck and thanks again for your little gem!
