Shadows Problem When Running At 1280

I played the cogs demo less than a day ago and have already bought the real thing. It's a real impressive game and I'm glad to see that work is still going into expanding the game.

However, I have one problem. When running at 1280, if i enable shadows, the whole screen becomes about 50% bightness, and there are no shadows visible. I do not have the problem if I run at the two other possible resolutions and changing between fullscreen/windowed makes no difference. Obviously, I have no objection to playing without shadows on, but it would be nice...

If you need information about my system, just ask. Looking forward to widescreen support.

Try downloading the beta version of the next Steam patch from here:

    http://www.lazy8studios.com/cogs_patch_beta

The shadows may still not show up at 1280, but rather than looking like everything is in shadow, it will look like nothing is in shadow -- which is an improvement.  It would be great if you can run the game in 1280 and send the file cogs\log.txt to me at rob@lazy8studios.com.  That'll give me a little more info about why shadows sometimes fail in the highest resolution mode.
