Small floating rocks
« on: October 22, 2013, 05:58:27 AM »
Hi:

I'm loving the beta so far! I appear to have found some floating rocks:

I saw in the forum notes that large rock formations sometimes appear to float from a distance, but these are still floating up close. I only thought it worth mentioning because from a distance they looked like a plant, so I just spent the last day moving closer to take a picture. :D

Thanks for the link.  Yup, this is a tricky one to fix.  Such is the nature of working with multiresolution noise-driven voxel terrain.

I'm not sure if I found floating rocks or ... birds? I think this was in another photo too.

In the top right corner of the photo there are a bunch of floating somethings in the distance, some of them look to be very high up. I needed to look at the larger version of the photo to see all of them. I'm now looking for blue people on feathery birds flitting between the rocks.

Not a floating rock, but a similar issue.  There is a seam in the ocean near the bottom of the picture.

I found a floating rock too. Thought it was an alien. Was hoping anyway...

I just realised you wanted floating rock problems to be put in this thread, so here is mine:

(This is the same one as reported in http://forum.lazy8studios.com/index.php?topic=972.0 )

I found a small floating rock on the main part of the island, but I cannot find the photo that it is in.

All that I remember is that it was taken on the eastern part of the main island and that it was somewhere near the middle., but that's it.
Rovin about.

Either I am in the middle of an earthquake, or there are some floaters here. https://extrasolar.com/photo/2EfsT0FPv3hTwJeTvNhyIp
